Grief

    "I'll never forget her face as she sent me away."

Some time ago I was thinking about how some of the assassins would act at their lowest points in life, when they would get sad or angry. Now I decided to draw it. I'll just copy what I wrote here.

if you pay attention to our dear boy Connor you can actually see quite well how he handles his sadness. after he killed Kanen’tó:kon he is clearly trying to hold back his tears, and after his body feels heavy and numb. when he finds out his village is still doomed, once again he feels numb and hopeless. a sort of apathetic sadness, like you’re too tired to react, too heavy to move your body. really passive. but I imagine that one time, when he is all alone, with Achilles dead and his friends and family gone, he just stands there in the big empty house and he kind of gets aware of how much has happened, how much tragedy has befallen on him and how hard he tried to avoid it. and that is when he snaps. tears well up in his eyes, he starts shaking and just lets it all out. he starts sobbing and crying like a child crying for their mother. he sinks to his knees and holds his head, and he just can’t stop. it keeps coming and coming.
